City Government

One of the factors that helps keeps the cost of living low in Sanborn, is the municipally owned utilities.  You'll find the gas, electric, water, internet, and cable rates very economical.

The Community Agency, also referred to as TCA, is a joint venture between the Northwest Iowa cities of Sanborn, Hartley, Primghar and Paullina. In the fall of 2000, TCA began providing cable television service to the four communities through a hi-bred fiber coax network. The basic cable television service includes 56 channels plus 4 pay per view channels. The expanded cable has 5 premium movie channels available. In August of 2001, high-speed internet was introduced.

Sanborn Golf & Country Club

Sanborn has an excellent 9-hole golf course that was built in 1982.

 

Prairie View Home

Prairie View Home in Sanborn offers nursing home care, and assisted living.  There are various types of living spaces, and levels of care available.  Prairie View is an excellent asset to the community.
